SHIMOGA: “Don’t you watch such movies at  home?”, former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa retorted when reporters here sought his reaction on the porn-gate scandal, where BJP MLAs were caught watching porn clips in the Assembly.

“Do all MLAs behave like this? Focus on important issues instead of these scandals,” said Yeddyurappa, speaking at the distribution of title deeds to slum dwellers.

He said ministers only watched the clips out of curiosity and added, “You should have stopped writing about it after a couple of days. Why are you giving so much importance to such issues?”

Yeddyurappa, who came late for the function, sat in a chair next to MP B Y Raghavendra. When Raghavendra went to deliver his speech, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda sat next to Yeddyurappa and was conversing with him. As photographers began clicking the scene, Yeddyurappa, during his speech again took on the media. “You (media) will make this incident an issue,” he said.
