TUMKUR: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda seems to be paying his predecessor B S Yeddyurappa in the same coin as he clarified that he would continue to fund the mutts besides presenting a separate budget for agriculture.

On Sunday he said he would get into the shoes of Lord Srikrishna and play the role what he had played in the Mahabharata to build a healthy ‘Satwik’ society.

While explaining the essence of a leader to be calm and composed to serve his followers, he commended the contribution of the mutts in this regard.

While criticising the opposition parties’ objection to support the mutts with the funds, he clarified that he would continue to allocate funds to the mutts like Yeddyrappa did earlier.

“Like Yeddyurappa, I too will present a separate budget for agriculture,” he said.

He did not forget to advise the media to have a self-regulation and not to glorify the issues.

However, the CM tactfully sidestepped the queries on the ‘porngate’ issue as he defended the speaker’s decision, but not exactly the ererrant leaders.

He clarified that the legislative committee will inquire the issue. He added cabinet expansion will be done after the Chickmagalur-Udupi Lok Sabha bypolls.
