BANGALORE: Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy said that the JD(S) candidate for the Udupi-Chikmagalur byelections will be finalised in a day or two, after consultations with the party’s two district units.
“We have taken the elections seriously and would like to repeat the success we achieved in Gulbarga South. I will consult the party cadre and leaders of both the districts on Wednesday and Thursday first,” Kumaraswamy addressed reporters here on Tuesday.
He admitted that the name of Madhu Bangarappa was doing the rounds. Kumaraswamy also disclosed that the Yuva Chetana rally of the party cadre will be flagged off from the city on Wednesday.
