BANGALORE: The BJP seniors’ forum has urged the party central leadership not to give any post to former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa in order to protect the organisation’s image.

The resolution passed in the forum’s meeting here on Thursday stated that Yeddyurappa must be told by the high command to get the cases filed against him cleared before staking claim for any position.

“We want a categorical assurance from the leadership to the party workers on this issue. A tainted person will not protect the image of the party,” the resolution also stated. The resolution also urged the high command to drop from the party the three tainted MLAs caught watching porn clippings in the Legislative Assembly.

“State BJP president K S Eshwarappa has sought to defend the three MLAs which is unacceptable. He must immediately apologise to the people for the act of the three MLAs,” it stated.

The forum also demanded that B B Shivappa be made the state party president.
