BJP’s BSY ‘phobia’ out: Congress

NEW DELHI: Congress on Friday said the crisis in BJP’s Karnataka unit showed that its central leadership was “afraid” of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa who wants to be reinstated there by February 27.

“The whole crisis shows that the BJP leadership, which had removed Yeddyurappa after much embarrassment, is afraid ofhim,” party spokesman Rashid Alvi told reporters.

He also said that it was strange that BJP chief Nitin Gadkari was on the one hand speaking of fighting against corruption, and on the other was giving clean chit toYeddyurappa.

Alvi’s remarks came after Yeddyurappa insisted on an ultimatum for his reinstatement.
