BANGALORE: The High Court on Saturday dismissed a petition filed by an accused in a land denotification case in which former CM B S Yeddyurappa is also named. The petition was filed by Suguna, an MD of Manyatha Promoters near Rachenahalli, Bangalore. She has been named the ninth accused in PCR 3 filed against Yeddyurappa. It is alleged that Yeddyurappa had denotified 13 acres for Suguna, who in turn gave 2 acres to Namratha Shilpa, a friend of Umadevi, Yeddyurappa’s daughter, and another person Yelandar. Justice N Anand noted that prima-facie evidence exists that denotification took place. Namratha Shilpa withdrew a plea to quash complaint against her.
