BANGALORE: Senior Congress leader and former Union minister M H Ambarish charged the BJP government of completely failing in protecting the interests of the people of the state.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, Ambarish said that the BJP, which was mired in severe infighting, corruption scandals and illegal mining, has forgotten to attend to the problems being faced by the people.
Criticising the government for not having taken up any relief works in drought-hit taluks of the state, the Congress leader, said: “No measures have been taken to open cattle sheds, generate employment and stop the migration of labourers,” he said. He claimed that the entire official machinery in the state has collapsed.
The tinsel town star, popularly known as ‘Rebel Star’, urged the state government to conduct fresh elections in the state in order to seek a fresh mandate from the people.
