SHIMOGA: The state government will reserve Rs 2.5 crore in the budget towards the development of the Heritage Village surrounding Kuvempu Sahyadri Desi Artifacts Museum, said Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda. He was speaking after inaugurating the Yatri Nivas and Kuvempu Sahyadri Desi Artifacts Museum in Kuppalli, Tirthahalli taluk on Monday.
He said that he would discuss the issue of enhancing the present grant of Rs 12 lakh bestowed to Kuvempu Pratishthana.
The government will hand over the memorial of Poornachandra Tejaswi to Kuvempu Pratishthana, he said. Replying to a request to grant 10 acres of grama thana land surrounding Kavi Mane, he said he would consider it after discussing the matter with authorities concerned.
