MADIKERI: Madikeri MLA M P Appachu Ranjan said that Speaker K G Bopaiah need not resign in the wake of the Supreme Court verdict on disqualification of MLAs.
Many such judgments have been passed in the past, but no resignations have been reported so far, he added.
Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah should know the procedure on the no-confidence motion against the Speaker.
It should be done at least ten days in advance and the House should run for a minimum of ten days.
But the session will go on only for ten days this time, so the no-confidence motion will not hold good, said Appachu Ranjan
