BANGALORE: Friday’s incident between media and advocates has thrown a new challenge to the government. Steps must be taken to prevent such incidents in the future, said Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs S Suresh Kumar.“There are ‘black sheep’ in every profession and they should not be given an upper hand,” he said.

He added, “The mudslinging is not doing good to any. If courts do not work, common man will be into lot of hardship. Media should stop sensationalising issues and the police department should be vigilant.”

“I am in favour of having an ‘In-House Coordination Committee’ which resolves the matters. There should be give-and-take attitude among the advocates and the media,” he added.“I really do not know what the advocates’ demands are. I am ready to resign, if it aids smooth functioning of court,” he said.
