BANGALORE: State JD (S) chief H D Kumaraswamy has attributed the quashing of FIR against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa to faulty investigation by the Lokayukta.
“I am of the view that had the investigation by the Lokayukta into illegal mining been specific and strong without any loopholes, then, perhaps, there would have been no scope for the quashing of the FIR,” Kumaraswamy told Express on Wednesday.
Kumaraswamy, however, maintained that the High Court verdict on the issue was not final as there is scope and provision to take up the issue in the Supreme Court.
“But it is for those concerned to think about it,” he added.
