UDUPI: The BJP government has funds to donate to temples and religious mutts but not to spend on the rehabilitation of lower income class employees, who lost their jobs after the state government banned the sale of arrack in the state, said AICC general secretary B K Hariprasad. He said here on Friday that though it is right to ban sale of arrack, rehabilitation of poor labourers should have been given importance. “BJP’s failure to do so has brought many of them to the streets. This government is unfit to seek votes from them,” he said.
