BANGALORE: The High Court on Wednesday disposed of the petition filed by actress Rajitha against various print and electronic media houses. The petition objected to the ‘defamatory content’ showed by the media “in an attempt to link her to Swami Nithyananda”. The News Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA) stated that it was an independent body, comprising former Chief Justice of India J S Verma as chairperson and eight members. It laid down broadcasting standards, and breach of ethics complaints could be filed before it, said NBSA .Justice Abdul Nazeer disposed of the petition.
