I will take an early decision on the resignation of two BJP legislators, but will first verify whether they were coerced, Speaker K G Bopaiah told Express on Sunday.

“I will summon the MLAs again and once convinced that their resignations are not forced upon on them, I will accept it immediately,” Bopaiah said. BJP MLAs Vittala Katakadonda (Nagathan) and Tarikere Suresh (Tarikere) had submitted their resignations  which are pending with Bopaiah for disposal. They have announced their intention to join the KJP.

Referring to the budget session on Monday, Bopaiah said that after the joint address by Governor H R Bhardwaj, the House would be adjourned to the next day to take up the regular business.
