Janata Dal (Secular) leader H D Kumaraswamy filed his nominations for the Chikballapur constituency on Wednesday.
He declared assets worth around Rs 150 crore placing him in the top five richest candidates in the state. His assets increased 9.11 per cent from Rs 137.26 crore when he filed his nominations for the Assembly elections.
Interestingly, Kumaraswamy’s moveable assets at Rs 2.56 crore pale in comparison to his wife Anita whose moveable assets are valued at over Rs 107 crore.
Kumaraswamy has a total annual income of Rs 19,02,760 (2012-13) when compared to Rs 17,90,012 in (2011-12) when he filed his nomination for the Assembly elections from Ramanagaram.
His wife Anita has an annual income of Rs 1,66,30,970 (2012-13) when compared to Rs 1,23,07,270 (2011-12).
The couple’s immovable assets are worth Rs 39.37 crore. Kumaraswamy and his wife also have declared liabilities of over Rs 72 crore as well as government dues of over Rs 72.86 lakh.
