Come Invest in Karnataka, Says Siddaramaiah

BENGALURU: Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday attempted to convince investors to invest in Karnataka, pointing to the plethora of educational institutions and the large number of R&D establishments present in Bengaluru.

Speaking at the CII-EXIM Bank’s Awards for Business Excellence for 2015, the CM said that the state besides being the ‘Knowledge Hub of Asia’ with 201 plus engineering colleges, it is also home to the fourth-largest technology cluster after Silicon Valley, Boston and London.

“Karnataka, with its 370-plus high-end research and development organisations, houses the largest number of research and development centres in India, thus prompting The World Economic Forum to identify Karnataka among the top four innovation hubs in the world,” he said.

In infrastructure, Karnataka is the preferred investment destination in the country and truly represents ‘One State, Many Opportunities,’ he added.
