HUBBALLI: In a shocking incident, a 63-year-old farmer from Siraguppi village committed suicide by immolating herself in her field.
The deceased Yallamma Honakeri was upset over failed crops in her 10 acre field. Reportedly, she was upset over loss of crop due to failed monsoon in the region but was not bound by any other major liabilities or loans.
The Hubballli rural police have registered a case and are inquiring the family members and fellow villagers.
