MANGALURU: Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait accused of scrolling obscene pictures on his cell phone during a public programme should have voluntarily resigned from his post, former chief minister and JD(s) President H D Kumarswamy said on Saturday.
Kumaraswamy accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of double standards on the issue of watching pornography. He recalled that Siddaramaiah as the then opposition leader had demanded the resignation of three BJP ministers accused of watching porn on their cell phones during the assembly session.
“When elected representatives face accusations, they should either deny or face it,’’ he said.
