MYSURU: The probe into the October 23 attack on the father-son duo of Mukhtar Moin Ahmed has revealed that a budding model Monisha(21) hatched the plot to kill them as revenge to Moin slapping her.
Monisha and Siraj, Mukhtar’s relative, fell in love about a year ago.
But Siraj’s family was against it. During a visit to Siraj’s house sometime back, Moin had slapped her after an argument over the issue.
A humiliated Monisha decided to take revenge.
She then sought the help of Shivakumar who was working with her father. Shivakumar took help of his friends Raghavendra and Goutham and the trio attacked Moin and his father at their house with lethal weapons.
All the four were arrested on Wednesday evening. N R Mohalla inspector Ashok Kumar said on Thursday that the duo together suffered 18 stab injuries in the incident and are still in ICU.
He said Monisha is well-off and took to crime only for the sake of love. Police are on the lookout for Siraj.
