BENGALURU: As raids against Karnataka Energy Minister D K Shivakumar entered day 3, a team of doctors arrived at his house on Friday morning though for whom is still not known.

The team was lead by Dr Ramana Rao, who has his clinic at Sadashivanagar. Earlier in the day, Shivakumar's brother D K Suresh visited the residence.

Raids have continued in different parts of the city on D K Shivakumar and his associates. The Minister has been under questioning since Wednesday morning, when Income-Tax sleuths raided Eagleton Resort, near Bidadi in the outskirts of Bengaluru.

Apart from Bengaluru - where most of the properties and offices of Shivakumar are located- raids were also carried out in Hassan, Mysuru and Ramanagara districts.

Shivakumar was restricted to his residence by the I-T officials throughout the day, while Central Reserve Police Force personnel stood guard outside. Documents associated with various businesses of the minister, said to be kept inside a safe at his residence, were also accessed by I-T sleuths. Though there were reports that I-T officials took assistance from key-makers in the city to open the safes, it was not confirmed.

The total amount of wealth unearthed from S K Shivakumar’s residence by the I-T sleuths still remains unclear.
