BJP leaders are set to hit the agitation mode from Friday, following Amit Shah’s visit to the state.

BENGALURU: BJP leaders are set to hit the agitation mode from Friday, following Amit Shah’s visit to the state.  On delay in BJP’s decision to agitate against Energy minister D K Shivakumar, Yeddyurappa said, “ It should not be seen as delay as we were collecting details about I - T raids. Now there are reports about `300 crore disproportionate assets found. So we have chalked out an agitation.”

BJP activists will take out protest dharnas, rallies, bike-rallies, torch-light processions and silent marches .
The party has also drawn up plans to counter Siddaramaiah over farm loan waiver.  BJP  is demanding waiver of farm loans obtained through nationalised banks too.

Yeddyurappa wants Siddaramaiah to emulate UP and Maharashtra. “UP has waived farm loans up to `1lakh obtained through co-operative and nationalised banks. Maharashtra too has waived loans up to `1.5 lakh. But,  Siddaramaiah has announced waiver of only co-operative loans.”
