BENGALURU: In order to match competitive fares being offered by taxi aggregators like Ola, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Monday announced that it would be slashing fares for passengers travelling in groups of three or more while using the ‘Flybus’ service to Mysuru from the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA).

Passengers, in groups of three or more will now pay `700 instead of `800 for each ticket excluding the Goods and Services Tax (GST). This would mean that three passengers, would pay `2,100 to travel till Mysuru on board the air-conditioned luxury bus service. These fares are expected to be in the range which taxi aggregators generally charge for the same distance. “Private aggregators are operating with low fares and our fares have been reduced to provide competition with cab services,” a KSRTC official said. Currently, there are 12 services to Mysuru between 5:30 am and 3:30 am the next day.
