On Saturday, the curtains will come down on the 11th edition of Aero India. On Friday, crowds poured into the venue in thousands, causing huge traffic snarls. Though there are several informative attractions for people to see at the expo, the showstopper, as always, is the roar of fighter jets in the sky. Other aspects of the show that appealed to the large crowd include static displays of several aircraft, simulators and more.

The Show
Even before visitors enter the venue, several pairs of eyes are glued to the sky. For several visitors, this is the only thing they want to see at Aero India -- aircraft in the sky.

Static Display Area
For close to a 100 metre stretch in the Static Display Area, visitors can look at many fighter jets. The area is a popular destination for tech enthusiasts and shutterbugs.

Outdoor Display Area
Combat vehicles, missile launchers and UAVs can be seen here. Three fighter jets -- Tejas, Rafale and Gripen --  are kept open for public view. People line up here to peep into the cockpits.

Indoor Display Area
With more than 400 stalls, the Indoor display area houses the stalls of several global defence giants such as Dassault, Rolls Royce, Sukhoi, SAAB, Lockheed Martin and BAE.
