Now, lodge child abuse complaints online via KSCPCR website

The website named ‘Kare’will not be restricted to registering complaints or raising a voice on any particular issue. It will also have information about child rights, laws, etc.

BENGALURU: Cases of violence against children can be registered on a dedicated website being developed by the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR).

The website, named ‘Kare’, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha on Saturday. He will also launch a month-long campaign against child marriage on the occasion.

KSCPCR chairperson Kripa Alva said, “This website is aimed at stopping violence against children and protecting child rights. We have designed this website to receive complaints and children can even share their problems.”

With the dedicated website, the commission is trying to reach out to other departments  including Education, Labour, Police, Health and Women and Child Development.

“All departments will be brought to a single platform to solve issues related to children. If any child files or registers a complaint of sexual abuse, it will be directly transferred to the Superintendent of Police concerned for immediate action,” said Alva.

The website will not be restricted to registering complaints or raising a voice on any particular issue. It will also have information about child rights, laws, etc.
