MANDYA: T Narasipur tahsildar Shankaraiah who allegedly committed suicide was cremated in Mandya on Thursday. Shankaraiah’s wife Pushpavathi demanded a CBI probe into the suicide. She said her husband was not weak-minded and he would have not made marriage preparations of his daughter, if he wanted to commit suicide.
Pushpavati said, “I called him on the day of the incident but he did not pick the call. I was shocked when I came to know about the suicide,” she added.She said Shankaraiah had sought transfer as he could not work in T Narasipur. Pushpavati said she wanted the CBI to probe the case and find out if that was the reason behind her husband’s suicide.
