Minister warns pvt hospitals

BENGALURU: The state government will initiate action against empanelled private hospitals who fail to deliver services to patients under Suvarna Arogya scheme, said Health Minister Ramesh Kumar on Monday.
Replying to Srinivas Mane of the Congress in the Council, the Minister said there were seven medical services under the Suvarna Arogya Scheme. “Annually we pay `530 crore to private hospitals. Only `30 crore are the dues and yet a few private hospitals stopped providing service to poor patients. Do they have any humanity?” he said.
