14-year-old in Karnataka ends life over poor exam performance

An eighth standard student from Khanapur town allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide on Saturday night as she did not perform well in her Mathematics examination.

BELAGAVI: An eighth standard student from Khanapur town allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide on Saturday night as she did not perform well in her Mathematics examination.

The deceased has been identified as Ravati Rodkar (14) from Khanapur town. She died at the district hospital. Ravati, an average student, was not confident of passing the examination as she did not do well in Mathematics.  A case was registered at Khanapur police station.
