BENGALURU: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee suspended two of its workers from the primary membership of the party and issued a show-cause notice to another on Saturday.

Vinay Gandhi from Hassan was suspended after he engaged in a scuffle at the KPCC office a couple of days ago.

Said to be a supporter of S M Krishna, Vinay and his supporters engaged in a war of words and pushed people around in the presence of Minister A Manju as district workers from Hassan were about to enter AICC general secretary K C Venugopal’s room for consultations.

Following an incident in Gangavathi of Koppal district, where some Congress supporters shouted slogans against CM Siddaramaiah, Kariyanna Sangatti has also been suspended from the primary membership of the party. . The protesters had stated that Siddaramaiah was an outsider who should not be allowed in the party.
A show-cause notice was also issued to H R Srinath from Gangavathi for the same reason.
