Karnataka police constable suspended from service for derogatory posts against state government and its MLAs

HUBBALLI: A constable attached to Hubballi Town police station has been suspended from service for allegedly sharing posts against State government and its MLAs, on Tuesday.

Arun Dollin is the suspended constable and was working in the Town Police station. Arun allegedly shared multiple posts on social media sites leading to his suspension.

In one of his posts shared on Saturday night carried the message “Mr CM when you will waive off farm loan, when you will resign?"

Another post he shared had derogatory remarks against Congress MLA Laxmi Hebbalkar and the third one was against former MP, Sandalwood star Ramya. In the fourth post he supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hailed him for launching Jandhan account campaign .

When a section of media highlighted the issue Police Commissioner M N Nagaraj has suspended him from the service with immediate effect.

Speaking to Express Nagaraj said, he has shared some derogatory posts against the government. Being a government servant he would not have shared such posts, he said.
