3 Pak youths get Indian citizenship

Ministry of Home Affairs sanctioned citizenship to three youths belonging to Pakistan and residing in Nizamabad town for several years.

NIZAMABAD: Ministry of Home Affairs sanctioned citizenship to three youths belonging to Pakistan and residing in Nizamabad town for several years. The copy of citizenship paper was handed over to them by Nizamabad Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) T Vinod Kumar on Tuesday.

According to Faiz Unnisa, native of Nizamabad, married Abdul Nadim, who is resident of Bahawalpur in Pakistan in 1988. Her marriage dissolved in 2004 and she came to Nizamabad along with her three sons.
After completion of her long term visa, she applied for Indian Citizenship. After carefully examining her application and conducting detailed enquiry, Ministry of Home Affairs sanctioned citizenship to her three children Mohd Sanan, Mohd Runan and Mohd Saifi on April 24, 2018.

Nizamabad RDO did not give satisfactory replies to the questions raised by media persons about her marriage details with Pakistan national and whether her three children visas were cancelled in Pakistan or not.

However, RDO said that government of India took a decision for providing visas to Pakistani nationals, which is the first of its own kind in his official career.

While interacting with media persons, Faiz Unnisa said that she already has Indian citizenship and has applied for her three children. She thanked Ministry of Home Affairs.
