VIJAYAPURA:Ending the five-day judicial custody of PSI Gopal Hallur, three constables and two rowdy-sheeters, accused in the murder of Gangadhar Chadachan, the JMFC court of Indi on Tuesday handed over them to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for five days.The CID, which took over the case on Saturday, started its investigation under SP Ananth Kumar.
On Monday, the CID had appealed to the JMFC to hand over the accused to it for investigation. Considering the appeal, Judge Aravind Hangargi gave an order in favour of the appeal. Speaking to the reporters, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Charan Reddy said, “After our appeal, the court handed over all the accused to us for five days for investigation. The district police submitted the case on Saturday with the minor report. We have been given a period of three months to investigate and submit the final report on the murder of Gangadhar Chadachan, but we will finish at our earliest.”
