Hubballi cop suspended for Facebook post against CM

A constable attached to Hubballi Town police station has been suspended from service for allegedly sharing a post on social media against CM H D Kumaraswamy.

HUBBALLI: A constable attached to Hubballi Town police station has been suspended from service for allegedly sharing a post on social media against CM H D Kumaraswamy. He had  shared the post on Saturday but was suspended on Tuesday after senior police officers were made aware about his post.

Arun Dollin of Town Police station shared multiple posts which read, “Mr CM, when you will waive farm loan, when you will resign?” Another post had derogatory remarks against newly-elected Congress MLA Laxmi Hebbalkar. There was also a post against former Mandya MP Ramya. Also, there was a post hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Police Commissioner M N Nagaraj said, “Being a government servant one cannot post such matters on social media. He has been suspended with immediate effect.”During interrogation, Arun has reportedly said that his wife had accidentally shared posts and he did not know about it.
