Clearly indicating that the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had taken a decision to execute the Kochi Metro project, P Rajeev MP has come out with documentary evidence for DMRC inviting tender for a project, which is part of the Kochi Metro.
He also came out with a letter suggesting that KMRL former MD Tom Jose had tried to stop the tender proceedings for this work.
Rajeev told mediapersons here on Wednesday that Tom Jose tried to interfere with the tendering proceedings for the Muttom yard work, which is part of the Kochi Metro Rail project. Tenders were invited for the construction of the boundary wall, road diversion work and mass earth filling at Muttom in March this year.
In a letter sent to the DMRC project director in August this year, Tom advised him to carry out the tendering of the work only after signing the agreement and the acquisition of the required land.
The tender invited by the DMRC in March for the Muttom yard is enough indication that the DMRC had once decided to take up the Metro project.
There has been a well planned conspiracy to keep the DMRC and Sreedharan out of Kochi Metro, he alleged.
