The distribution of coupons in connection with the Federal Bank Grand Kerala Shopping Festival-Season 7 has crossed one crore within four days of starting the festival. GKSF director S Hari Kishore said the shopping festival started on December 22. The coupon distribution was inaugurated by Tourism Minister A P Anil Kumar in Malappuram on December 21.
There is a great response from the public for the festival, which is being organised by the Tourism Department with the participation of traders in the state. Following requests from traders, registration for participants was made free.
The festival is a great boon to small-scale traders. Those who have received the coupon should keep it after February 5 till the mega draw of lots takes place.
Ernakulam district tops in distribution of coupons, with Malappuram second and Kannur in the third place. Traders who have distributed the coupons which wins the prize will be given consolation prizes.
