Mild tremors lasting few seconds and measuring 2.3 on the Ritcher scale were occurred at Chimmony dam area in the district, official sources said today.
However, no casualties or damage to property was reported.
The first tremor was occurred at 4.42 pm and the second one at 6.05 pm yesterday, the sources said.
The epicentre of the tremors was about six km South East of the dam and the second one half a kilometer away of the first one, the sources said.
