According to the police, Saritha in her written complaint has alleged threat to her life from Biju Radhakrishnan and Shalu Menon who “have ruined her life”. She said Biju had committed many frauds using her.
According to the complaint, she was not aware of the financial matters of Team Solar company which was solely managed by Biju. As he became closer to Shalu Menon, the company started facing financial issues, she alleged. Concerned over the security of her children and family, Saritha has sought protection for them.
The police registered a case against Biju and Shalu Menon for threatening Saritha. After initial investigation, the report will be sent to the police headquarters to decide whether to hand over the case to the Special Investigation Team, said Kochi City Police Commissioner K G James.
‘Plaint Destroyed’
Fenny Balakrishnan, counsel of Saritha S Nair, said that it was on the direction of Saritha S Nair herself that he had earlier informed the media that Saritha would be giving a statement against ministers including some Union ministers.
Fenny said that the 23 page long complaint first prepared by him has been destroyed. He said Saritha’s mother had requested him to destroy the first complaint and as per request of his client he destroyed it on Monday evening. Fenny added that the contents of the complaint written by Saritha herself should be treated as the actual one.
