A 14-year old boy drowned in the Poomala dam here on Wednesday. According to Viyyur police, the victim is Srijith, son of Ramankutty, a resident of Kuttampara in Palakkad. The incident happened around 7 am. Srijith had gone to take bath at the dam along with his father. Srijith accidentally slipped into the deeper areas of the dam.
