The Railway has announced special trains between Kochuveli and Bangalore to clear the extra rush of traffic on this route on Thursdays and Fridays until November 1.
Train Number 06314 Kochuveli - Bangalore City Special will leave Kochuveli on 3rd, 17th and 31st October (Thursdays) at 8.15 pm and reach Bangalore City station at 01.50 pm on the next day.
In the return direction, Train Number 06313 Bangalore City - Kochuveli Special will leave Bangalore City station at 3.20 pm on 4th and 18th October and 1st of November, (Fridays) and reach Kochuveli at 10.30 am on the next day.
The composition of the train would be one 2AC coach, followed by two 3AC coaches, four Sleeper class coaches, six General Second Chair Car coaches, four unreserved coaches and finally, two luggage-cum-break van coaches.
The special trains planned on the route by the Railways will have stoppages at a number of important stations on the route, including the stations of Kollam, Kayamkulam, Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Podanur, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri Junction, Hosur and Bangalore Cantonment. This was stated in a press release issued by Railways.
