Report on Madhani role in murder plan soon

Ernakulam North police will soon file a report before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate on the case

Ernakulam North police will soon file a report before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate on the case against Abdul Nasser Madhani and another PDP activist Muhammad Asraf for allegedly planning to murder an RSS leader and a Christian priest.

The police landed in trouble after K Muhammad of Kanthapuram, who allegedly gave a statement to the police against Madhani, denied it in public.

According to police officials, the probe is on and they will record the statements of Muhammad and the police official who had told the Marad Commission about the murder plan. “Since Muhammad has retracted his statement that Madhani had given ransom to Asraf for murdering P Parameswaran, director of Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram, and Fr Alvi, we have to take the statement of the police official now. A report regarding the initial probe will be filed before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate soon. We are now probing the connection of Madhani with the Marad incident,” an official said.

It was as per the directive of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate over a plea by T G Mohandas, director of the Responsible Citizens’ Foundation, Kochi, that the police registered a case.
