Sharply criticising the alleged moves to reinstate K B Ganesh Kumar in the UDF ministry, Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan has said that the people of Kerala will not accept giving back the Cabinet birth to the tainted Kerala Congress (B) leader.

“Ganesh Kumar epitomises all the dirt in Kerala politics and the people of the state will not accept restoring the Cabinet position to him,” Achuthanandan told mediapersons here on Monday.

“Many allegations were raised against him for troubling women. The case of attacking his wife was settled by offering Rs 2 crore.

Oommen Chandy played the role of mediator in this issue,” he alleged.

The name of the ex-minister popped up in connection with Saritha S Nair, an accused in solar scam, too.

Ganesh Kumar’s recent threat of putting his papers as MLA was another drama, the CPM leader ridiculed.

“This drama was also scripted and prompted by Oommen Chandy,” he added.

The Leader of Opposition, who was here for a private function, paid a visit to ailing CMP veteran M V Raghavan at the Pariyaram Medical College.
