The Chief Minister who stood isolated from the people due to serious corruption charges was enacting a drama to save himself by his hospitalisation, alleged CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan. However, he said that the CPM viewed the attack seriously and was ready for a probe into the incident. Addressing the reception committee constitution meet for the forthcoming plenum of the CPM at Municipal Town hall on Tuesday, Pinarayi alleged that there was a conspiracy to implicate CPM activists in the attack.

He said that the CM had addressed two public meetings after the attack and except for the two minor injuries on the forehead there were no other problems. But it was later that the pain in the chest was disclosed. He said it was to evoke sympathy that CM got himself admitted to the MCH in Thiruvananthapuram.
