Setting fire to the solar row, the secret statement of Konni-based businessman Mallelil Sreedharan Nair, who filed a complaint of cheating against Saritha S Nair, former personal secretary of Chief Minister Tenny Joppen and Biju Radhakrishnan, reveals that he met Chief Minister Oommen Chandy along with Saritha, and Chandy encouraged Sreedharan Nair to set up a solar energy project.
A copy of the statement was handed over to counsel of Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan on Tuesday by the magistrate court here.
Nair, who made the secret statement before the Ranni magistrate on the order of the Judicial First Class Magistrate II here, stated that he met the CM along with Saritha and Joppen at the Secretariat Chamber at 7 pm on July 9, 2012.
