The Attingal police on Thursday arrested the woman whose kid and mother-in-law were hacked to death the previous day.
Anu Shanthi, 30, hailing from Alamcode, Attingal, was aware of the murder attempt against her husband Lijeesh which resulted in the tragedy, police said. “She sent pictures of her residence and an abandoned pathway behind the house on Whatsapp to the accused to escape after the act,” said Circle Inspector M Anil Kumar.
The first accused, Nino Mathew, 40, of Karimanal, was taken into custody hours after the incident. Lijeesh’s mother Omana, 60, and his daughter Swasthika were brutally killed by Nino on Wednesday afternoon.
