IDUKKI: One of the generators at Idukki Hydro-electric power station in Moolamattom was shut down following complaints noted on Monday, KSEB sources said.
The generator reportedly stopped functioning in the morning due to an alleged circuit tripping in a transformer connected to the generator. The readings in the suspected transformer also did not match with other transformers, said sources.
The engineers are reportedly looking into the problem and they will carry out a final check-up on Tuesday morning. The power generation in the dam was recorded at 3.14 million units during the last 24 hours ending Monday morning.
