Annual Workshop of KVK Commences

The annual review workshop of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) of Zone VIII comprising Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, Lakshadweep and Puducherry commenced at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) here.

The annual review workshop of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) of Zone VIII comprising Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, Lakshadweep and Puducherry commenced at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) here. The workshop was inaugurated by T K Jose IAS, chairman, Coconut Development Board. “KVKs and Coconut Development Board should collaborate in demonstrating scientific coconut cultivation in farmers’ fields” he said.

The workshop would continue till May 8th. 81 KVKs representing various districts are participating in the review workshop. During the occasion, Sachidanandan Aduvassery, the best farmer innovator selected from Ernakulam district received felicitations from Dr A Gopalakrishnan, director, CMFRI. V Venkata Subramanian, assistant director general, ICAR, New Delhi, Dr Sreenath Dixit, zonal project director, Bengaluru and Dr Shinoj Subramaniam, programme coordinator of Ernakulam, KVK, attended.
