THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : In a bizarre incident, a 19-year-old nursing student jumped from the 10th floor of Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) hospital here on Thursday.
She later succumbed to her injuries sustained during the fall. The deceased has been identified as Roji Roy, daughter of George Roy and Sajitha Roy, of Robin Bhavan, Nallila near Kundara, Kollam district. She was a second- year BSc Nursing student in the same hospital. “The incident occurred on Thursday around 12.30 pm after she was summoned by the principal on the basis of a complaint lodged to the authorities by her junior. As per the complaint, Roji had ragged her. It was following the incident that, Roji jumped out of the glass window,” police said.
