N Sreenivasan Visits Rajarajeswara Temple

KANNUR: International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman N Sreenivasan visited the Rajarajeswara Temple at Taliparamba here on Monday and offered prayers there. Sreenivasan reached the temple around 11.15 am, along with two officials of India Cements, and offered prayers. He made a ‘ponninkudam’ (golden pot) offering to the presiding deity.  ‘Golden pot’ offerings fulfil wishes, devotees believe.

The ICC chairman was received at the temple by E P Harijayanthan Namboothiri, the chairman of the trusty board of the temple. Though mediapersons tried to ask questions, Sreenivasan did not oblige.

The Rajarajeswara temple at Taliparamba, a Siva temple, had a number of political celebrities visiting it in the recent past, inlcuding Amit Shah, Jayalalithaa and B S Yeddyurappa.
