MUMBAI: NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Wednesday claimed that his statement to partymen to remain prepared for polls had been wrongly interpreted.”We are not interested in destabilising the government. Our support will continue till the government in the state is working in the interest of people. That doesn’t mean we want to pull down the state government,” he said, while addressing the NCP conclave at Alibaug near here. The Maratha strongman also took potshots at PM Modi over his overseas assignments. “Modi is proactive in reaching out to people. It’s a good marketing skill. I don’t know how the product is but Modi’s marketing surely is impressive,” he said sarcastically.
