THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister K C Joseph on Wednesday announced the State Media Awards 2014 for various categories. The award winners are: S N Jayaprakash of Mathrubhumi for General Reporting; Mahesh Gupthan of Malayala Manorama for Development-oriented Reporting; Bimal Thampi of Madhyamam for News Photo; T K Sujith of Kerala Kaumudi for Cartoon and Asha Javed of Manorama News for Television Reporting. Each award consists of a cash component of `25,000 and a citation. Mediapersons who found special mentions will be given a cash award of `10,000 and a citation.
