Swipe machines for issuing KSRTC tickets to Sabarimala

Transport Minister A K Saseendran has said that swiping machines will be used for issuing tickets on KSRTC buses for pilgrims.

SABARIMALA: Transport Minister A K Saseendran has said that swiping machines will be used for issuing tickets on KSRTC buses for pilgrims. Chairing a review meeting at Pampa on Wednesday, the Transport Minister said swiping machines would be used for issuing tickets at Pampa and Nilackal. 

For this purpose, the KSRTC has entered into an agreement with Federal Bank, Saseendran said. 

Action against erring autorickshaws

 Saseendran said action would be taken against autorickshaws which carry Sabarimala pilgrims without valid permits. The minister gave instructions to the Motor Vehicles Transport Department to initiate action against the erring autorickshaws.  

Licences must for two-wheeler riders 

The minister said that instructions were given to check licences for two-wheeler riders who come for Sabarimala pilgrimage. 

KSRTC revenue increases 
The Transport Minister said that the KSRTC revenue from Sabarimala special services showed an increase.
